So, I was at the bike shop again on Sunday and even though I told myself I'd get a new bike after getting 2000 miles in this season, I picked it up anyway. 300 miles is close to 2000, isn't it? I'm actually right on target for reaching my goal of 2000 miles by the end of September. Additionally, I am planning on doing 100 mile rides in August and September. If I add those on, I only have 1500 more miles to go... or something like that. Anyway, it's fast, although very red. I don't know how I feel about the red, but the dealer threw in a matching jersey, which makes it far less out of place, granted, I don't know if my blue jersey will work anymore :)
So, what I got was, a Felt F4C. It's a carbon-fiber frame with Ultegra & Dura-Ace Component. The wheels aren't actually that hot, but those are pretty easy to upgrade if I don't like them in another year. The gearing is quite a bit different than my old bike, so I need to get used to that, but the thing climbs like an antelope. Now I just need to find someone to buy the old one.
