LABOR Day

This weekend was pretty good, all things being equal, you really can't go wrong with an extra day off.

Friday, I left work a little early and went home where Travis, Eric and I (mostly Travis and I), installed a new garage door. It wasn't too difficult, though due to some odd house construction, we ran into a few snags, and has some interesting issues with the torsion spring, but the good news is that no one died in the process. Also good news is that the new garage door works way better than the old one. Shortly after I finished that, I cooked some dinner, a wonderful meal of chicken parmesean. We entertained Eric's parents, and then retired shortly thereafter.

Saturday morning, I woke up, and I don't really remember what I did, but around 2pm, my mom arrived (yay mom). and we headed down to Eric's house to take a look. Unfortunately, it had been raining all day, and we got to find out that Eric's house leaks. Not too bad, but not good either. In any event, I called Eric, who called his builder. Hopefully it'll be resolved soon.

Sunday was spent lounging around, after church, and we ate too much, and had too much fun.

Labor day was spent laboring. Lisa came over for breakfast and afterward she decided yesterday was the day to take down the wallpaper in the living room. So she started! I went on a hunt for a wallpaper steam and couldn't find one, so I had to get a new one. During this adventure, Scott and I went on a bike ride where I about died climbing hills, but I'm better now :) In any event, all the wallpaper is down, so this week will be mudding, priming, patching, and random other work day. Should make for a busy week, but the living room will look much better in the end!
