Pinky

A little late, again.

Well, it has been a busy last couple days, working on Parallel a lot, trying to figure out my discrete, reading up on Perl, for a new project I get to work on at work. I left work a bit early on Friday so I could stop by the DMV to get my NY plates and a NY license. I waited in line for about 45 minutes, which I guess isn't too bad, and in the end, I got my new plates (AFX-2099) and a new license, though they mail them to you in NY. Later in the afternoon, I went to get my car washed, and then took Eric to get a new case for his computer, since his computer keep overheating. Came back and read some on Perl, worked on Parallel, and then went to bed. I slept in late this morning, and was happy to do so, got up, and worked on Parallel pretty much all day, and it finally seems to be working pretty well. There are a couple little things that I need to get working, but it is pretty much complete! I looked at my discrete homework though, and got 1/3 of it done, and am confused on the second 2/3. I may need to ask Travis, or spend a while on it tomorrow. Tomorrow I think will be busy though, since Eric, Travis, Jennie and I are going to see John Williams conduct something tomorrow afternoon at 3:00, and it is supposed to be a nice day, so I would like to go for a bike ride, either earlyish in the morning, or in the late afternoon. I will need to figure out my discrete sometime too, and (hopefully) put the finishing touches on Parallel, and I need to read up on Perl (600 pages to go). 3 weeks till classes are over... I can't wait. 28 days till graduation!

John Williams Rocks

Just got back from the Eastman Theatre, where THE John Williams was conducting his own work. He also got an honorary doctorate from University of Rochester Eastman School of Music. The performance was REALLY cool, and he did pieces from Far and Away, Schindler's List, Star Wars, and Indiana Jones, to name a few. It was quite the concert, and the tickets were only $8, which was really good. I am really thankful to Travis that he found out about the concert. This whole concert made today much better. The performers, who are all students were really amazing too.

I finished my discrete this morning, and think I did it correctly, and then tweaked the parallel a bit, and now I am reheating dinner, and I have to do some real work stuff, like finish Don's review, and read some more on Perl. The Perl book I got is really good though, so at least I won't be falling asleep reading it.

Time to listen to some John Williams tunes.
