1. Who is your favorite singer/musician? Why?
No single person can fill all my needs for music. Each artist brings their own unique qualities to the proverbial table.

2. What one singer/musician can you not stand? Why?
The ones that aren't musicians (N*Sync, etc) who just dance and woo the women.

3. If your favorite singer wasn't in the music business, do you think you would still like him/her as a person?
In other words, do you think musicians are complete jerks? Some are, and a lot of that stems from the crap they have to put up with. Some are genuinely nice people.

4. Have you been to any concerts? If yes, who put on the best show?
Hmm, been to a couple. The most entertaining was probably Kenny Chesney.

5. What are your thoughts on downloading free music online vs. purchasing albums? Do you feel the RIAA is right in its pursuit to stop people from downloading free music
This is a Friday Five question? As an institution, the RIAA is a dinosaur. They could be making a fortune off the downloaded music thing. I think they are alienating the same people they are trying to make money from, and complaining when people stop buying music. From a business standpoint, they are protecting their rights, from a logical standpoint, they are shooting themselves in the foot. That being said, the RIAA is within their right to sue, but should they, probably not. As an aside, I have been know to download a few songs. I will also say that I have purchased CDs I never would have thought about purchasing because I heard the mp3.
