All that being said, I had high expectations for the final installment, pre-ordered my tickets, got there 45 minutes early, and still had pretty lousy seats. The 4:30 showing, in a theater that holds 450 people had 350 people in it. Not a whole lot of empty seats. Anyway, back to the movie; the first 10 minutes are a little, "eh", but after that, it just takes off. That was the shortest 3 1/2 hours I have spent in a theater. The cinemtography was excellent, the acting was great, the CG was impressive.
More that that though, the movie takes you on an emotional roller-coaster ride; happy, sad, angry, etc, etc. Through all of it though, I felt in a way sad at the end, kind of like when you graduate high school, or go on a memorable vacation to Europe. You finish, and no matter what you do, nothing measures up. Your days are filled with boredom and solitude pondering "what's next", and the times with your friends are too short and too infrequent, and before you know it, your 'big adventure' is just a distant memory.
In short, 9/10.
