I was doing laundry this last weekend, like I usually do, and when I went to switch the laundry from the washer to the dryer, I noticed something odd... my car keys were sitting on the bottom of the washer. Apparently, I had forgotten to take them out of my pants before throwing them into the laundry basket the previous night. Not usually a problem, except that my car has the has one of those new fangled key fobs, which allows me to unlock the doors remotely, which also disables the alarm. "Great," I thought, time to call my dealer to get a new key fob. Just for kicks, I went out to the garage and pushed the unlock button. It worked! Many thanks to the Subaru Engineers who designed their key fobs to work after sitting it gallons of water for an hour.
