Pike's Peak

We got up bright and early this morning and headed to Pike's Peak. 14,110 ft. up. We took a cog train up, and it took about an hour to travel the 6 miles to the top (8000 ft up), and it provided some spectacular scenery. Those pictures are being uploaded right now, but will take quite a while for them all to get there. When we got to the top, the air was VERY thin. I felt nauseated, and light headed, but got some pictures anyway. Things were moving very slowly up there though. It was about 28F (9 with the windchill), so it was nice and cold.

After we got back from 'mountain climbing', Eric Travis and I went GeoCaching, which was a blast, and I ended up doing about 5 miles of hiking at over a mile up; that was fun, although difficult.

To step back a day, we went to Golden yesterday, and got some pictures, though it was very cloudy, so the pictures weren't too great. We did see a rattle snake though. I got a couple picture of him, though they aren't great. Since it was cloudy, we went to the Coors brewery. It was different than last time I went, but there are pictures of that too.

All the pictures from yesterday are here

Tomorrow, we go to a baseball game, and probably some more GeoCaching.

Pictures coming soon.
