My legs were still a little sore from lifting on Monday, but nothing terrible, so I went straight into the first point. Amazingly, we scored first! The first point also didn't take 15 minutes like last week, it was over in about 2. This was looking up already.
By halftime, we were up 8-2, which really should have been 9-2, but apparently the wind blew the score back to 7, so we played 8 twice. Such is life. We came out in the 2nd half, and team rainbow went on a run. The score coming to 10-6. We finally squeaked out a victory with a score of 15-11, as the sun faded out of the sky. It was a long game.
Me, personally, I played pretty ok. I had several nice throws, including one to a girl who wasn't looking. I threw the disc to her, and was leading her perfectly as she ran down the field, but wasn't looking. As the frisbee was about 5-10ft from her, she turns, sees it, and catches it. It was such a perfect throw :) There were a couple things on defense that didn't work out for me, and I started to get leg cramps towards the end, so I didn't play so much. Bah. It's sort of amazing how my forehand throw has improved over the years. I can absolutely launch the disc down the field with my forehand (as well as my backhand). I also play a bit different than most people. I don't fake a whole lot. I just stand there looking for someone to throw to, and then quickly make my throw. Usually it catches the defender off guard, so it works.
Hopefully, next week, I won't get cramps...
