I remember fondly my many snow days as a youngster. The best were when you knew school was canceled the next day, and you could stay up till all hours of the night playing in the snow, come in, warm up, and sit there watching the snow fall for hours. Knowing you didn't have to go to school meant that all your worries in the world vanished. You didn't have to worry about anything for the entire day, except for getting your hot cocoa. When you didn't find out till the morning that school was canceled, that wasn't as good, but it was still nice. Suddenly, everything that you needed to deal with that day was gone. No math test, no gym class, nothing.
I am in need of a day like that. I want to wake up some day and not worry about anything. Just get up and go play in the snow for a couple hours, come in, drink some hot cocoa, and sit there watching the snow fall. I don't want to have to worry about making lunch or dinner either, about getting to the grocery store either, or trying to figure out how to cure boredom. I don't want to worry about vacuuming, dusting, or cleaning the driveway (ok, maybe I'll do that).
