Da Da Dum

Well, yesterday was road trip day. Bret, Travis and I drove down to Erie to get the plates off my car, finish cleaning it out, and giving it a good bath... no, that's not right. Anyway, I finally got a good look at the other damaged cars, and I can say that Honda CRV's don't seem to have any sort of crumple zones. The CRV was is decent enough shape, but the frame was seriously bent, and the rear axle was bent about 45 degrees. The crown victoria was really messed up though. I have to wonder how much he hit his breaks.

So, after getting my car cleaned out, we decided to head down to Erie to get some food, since, well, we were hungry. We went to Quaker Steak and Lube for some wings. Apparently Tuesday was all you can eat night, so we were happy to be there. Our waitress was fun, outgoing and generally a pleasant person. Too bad she lives 150 miles away :(

Bret drove back, which I was happy for, since I was tired, and didn't really feel like driving.

Also on the way home, I checked my work voicemail, since I had left early. Apparently the salesman called saying the black car wasn't available, so he is going to try to get the silver. I hope he does, otherwise I don't know what I am going to do as far as cars are concerned, as I want a 5-spd (or 6), and if I stick w/ the Sentra, I want the SE package, so we'll have to wait and see. I don't know if I will hear today though, as my salesperson is at training all day. We'll have to wait and see.

Long story short, got home late, went to bed, got up too early this morning. Finding a parking spot was a challenge this morning because of the firemen's convention. I don't think it will get any easier toward the end of the week...
