Easter Weekend

Easter weekend was pretty good. Friday started with a rather short day of work, which was followed by going to the Old Toad with Bret, Travis and Scott. I got a couple drinks, snacks and we headed home to play Oblivion. Later on in the night, I met up with Lisa at Bret and Trish's, where we watched CSI and ate brownies... yummy.

Saturday morning, I got up, relaxed for a bit, then went for a 20mi bike ride. I didn't feel so hot for the first 10 miles, but I think that's because I was going too slow. I picked up the pace for the 2nd half and felt really good by the time I got back. Granted, I ended up taking off my jacket, my full fingered gloves, and if I'd been able, I would have taken off the skull cap. Such is life.

Saturday concluded by going to a wedding reception. I actually danced, several times, which was fun. On a side note, I also caught the garter. The girl who caught the bouquet didn't quite know what was going on, so I told her, "It was either me, or the creepy guy in the corner putting it on her." She laughed. Anyway, I was hamming up my moment in the spotlight. It's not something I'd normally due, I don't think. Lisa has that effect on me... as I didn't really have that much to drink.

Sunday I ended up going to Lisa's parents for Easter dinner, and wouldn't you know, there was an Easter basket waiting there for me. It was (and still is) full of all sorts of goodies! It was nice to be able to spend a holiday with her... actually, spend the whole weekend with her. Granted, it would have been nice to go see mom, but I committed to the wedding before I knew it was Easter weekend.

That's it for now. I think I need to go on another 20mi ride today, I only did 75 miles last week.
