NYC Trip

The NYC trip was very fun. Unfortunately, I was inside all day Saturday, when the weather was nice. On Sunday, during the 7 inches of rain, I was walking around New York. Go figure. In any event, all things being equal, Lisa and I managed to stay fairly dry, thanks to Dave and Mary (Lisa's aunt and uncle). We ended up seeing the Disney Store, the world's largest build-a-bear store, and we went to Jekyll and Hyde for lunch (interesting place). We then headed to the Marquis Theater for a performance of The Drowsy Chaperon. I absolutely loved it. I don't think I've laughed that hard in quite a while. The rest of the day was completed by food, meeting up with some friends and heading back to Jersey. The train tracks were flooded though, which made the trip back interesting. Trains are supposed to create wake, are they?

And if that part of the trip wasn't bad enough... on Monday, we (I) drove back to NY. It started off with rain, switched to snow, freezing rain, sleet, fog, more snow, more rain, slush. It was fun. Took 6 hours to make the trip, but we made it; despite seeing dozens of cars off the road, 2 flipped vehicles, a tractor-trailer merge into another tractor-trailer, and serious flooding on the highway. Other than that, it was fun. I think I'm still recovering though :)
